Responsibilities
- Help identify and pursue business opportunities with strategic targets and cultivate relationships with inbound and outbound prospects.
- Help clients across various sectors scale their business with our world-class services and solutions.
- Own the entire business development life cycle process from acquisition and onboarding to retention and renewal.
- Qualify and identify best opportunities with goal to quote and bind long-term clients.
- Provide strategic and consultative guidance by conducting thorough risk and exposure analysis, obtaining underwriting information for new and renewal clients, and determining and discussing insurance and risk management needs with prospects and clients.
- Drive revenue and growth for the agency; Identify and pursue business opportunities with prospects; Build strong relationships with prospects and clients and provide a consultative approach for their unique and individual needs.
- Work with risk placement and service team members to create company submissions, select potential carrier markets, and develop and deliver formal insurance proposals.
- Introduce service team members to prospect / client, and coordinate to ensure a first-class experience from start to finish.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, insurance companies, and teammates throughout the entire client life cycle.
- Participate in renewal process by reviewing expiration list with service team members to determine plan of action and to collect renewal data.
- Maintain production reports, develop a pipeline, and attend all sales meetings as required.
- Promote agency and the insurance industry at large in your local communities.
- Engage in networking and prospecting opportunities by attending industry events, getting involved in the local community, and asking for referrals from current customers and centers of influence.
- Present proposals clearly and effectively so that clients are able to understand their coverage details.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional lines of insurance where appropriate and applicable.
- Remain informed of industry developments through review of trade press and by attending insurance carrier training meetings.
- Develop and strengthen overall business acumen.
- Complete other specific duties or projects assigned by agency management.
