Business Performance Improvement - Finance Transformation (Workday Financials) Associate Director
About the Role
Protiviti is looking for a Technology Consulting Associate Director to join our growing Workday team. As an Associate Director, you'll take a lead role in strengthening client relationships and providing seamless guidance in the completion of engagements. You'll partner with strategic clients to identify and manage risk, develop strategies to solve complex business problems, and devise solutions using analytics, automation, or the latest tools and methods.
You will also mentor and develop teams, oversee project work plans, and serve as an ambassador of Protiviti in the market. This role involves building trusted relationships with C-level executives, identifying new business opportunities, and contributing to thought leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage future state design and process improvement projects focused on Record to Report (R2R) and/or Order to Cash (O2C) business functions.
- Provide business integrator support for large-scale Workday Financials implementations, coordinating across client teams, system integrators, and third-party vendors to drive process alignment, organizational readiness, issue resolution, testing, training, and successful deployment.
- Serve as a solution architect, project manager, and/or workstream lead for R2R and/or O2C during the design and implementation of Workday.
- Manage large, complex Workday Financials implementations, including developing implementation plans, estimating level of effort, timing, and costs.
- Lead and perform key responsibilities such as requirements definition, facilitating design workshops, testing, data conversion, training, cutover, and post go-live support.
- Establish and cultivate business relationships and a professional network, including with senior executives.
- Pursue business development opportunities and identify strategies to obtain new work or clientele.
- Translate and communicate issues, risks, or challenges to client personnel, including executives.
- Provide leadership and direct supervision of teams, including conducting performance appraisals, mentoring, coaching, and coordinating across teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., MIS, Finance/Accounting, Engineering).
- 9+ years of experience working in professional services or industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications, with emphasis on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Workday certification in Workday Record to Report and/or Contracts to Cash is strongly preferred; certifications in Accounting Center and/or Prism are a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Python, and Power BI is considered a strong asset, particularly for data conversion, validation, reconciliation, and reporting activities.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting practices.
Schedule
Protiviti practices a hybrid workplace model, combining in-person work with remote flexibility. The ratio of remote to in-person requirements varies by client, project, and team. In-person work may include local or out-of-state travel based on project and client commitments.
Pay
Starting salary range: $142,000.00 - $242,000.00, based on experience, skills, and geographic work location.
Annual bonus target opportunity: 16% of base salary.
Estimated total cash range (salary + bonus): $164,720.00 - $280,720.00.
