About the role
Protiviti’s Business Performance Improvement (BPI) practice is seeking a Director to join our growing Financial Services team. Directors develop business opportunities, lead engagements, and ensure client satisfaction while shaping enterprise process excellence strategy with executive stakeholders across banking, capital markets, and wealth and asset management clients.
You will build trusted relationships with C-level executives, manage client expectations, and convert business challenges into sales opportunities. You will also lead cross-functional teams in process intelligence, re-engineering, and AI/automation to implement scalable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain primary client relationships, managing expectations, project scope, and operational matters.
- Lead engagement sales opportunities and consistently develop work at existing clients.
- Convert client business challenges into additional sales opportunities through thought leadership and client interactions.
- Design and develop thought leadership materials to share with colleagues and networks.
- Promote Protiviti’s mission, vision, and values, encouraging collaboration across teams.
- Direct cross-functional teams in process intelligence, re-engineering, and AI/automation to implement scalable solutions.
- Evaluate existing business processes, recommend enhancements, and implement changes at scale, including building enterprise process inventories and repeatable transformation playbooks.
- Assist clients with managing change through implementation of proposed recommendations.
- Lead significant client checkpoint meetings related to project progress.
- Lead transformational finance and accounting projects, including investor/fund performance reporting and month-end close optimization.
- Participate in or lead business development opportunities.
- Supervise teams, including performance appraisal, mentoring, coaching, work oversight, and team motivation.
Requirements
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills, including documentation of findings and recommendations.
- Experience in finance strategy development and process improvement (order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, record-to-report).
- Strong understanding of shared services and global business services design and implementation, including Target Operating Model (TOM) design, managed services, and offshoring advisory.
- Experience in robotic process automation, intelligent automation, outsourcing and offshoring advisory, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), financial close, consolidation, and reporting.
- Proficiency with process and task mining tools (e.g., Microsoft Power Automate, UiPath, Celonis) and process mapping/BPMN tools (e.g., SAP Signavio, IBM Blueworks, Nintex Process Manager, Microsoft Visio).
- Experience supporting accounting transitions, including lease accounting, revenue recognition, reconciliation, and restatement support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or Business-Related Field); Master’s degree in Accountancy or related field is a plus.
- 15+ years of experience leading teams within a consulting or financial services environment in one or more of: finance operating model design, performance management, shared services design and implementation, outsourcing advisory, and process/digital transformation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite applications.
- Professional Certification such as CPA, CIA, CFE, or similar strongly preferred.
- Must reside within a reasonable daily commute of your assigned Protiviti home office by start date.
Schedule
Protiviti employees work in a hybrid environment, including the home office, client sites, and remote locations. Availability to be physically present at the required work location and reliable transportation are expected.
Pay
Starting salary range: $176,000.00 - $300,000.00 (full-time equivalent). Placement in the range depends on experience, skills, and geographic work location.
Annual bonus target opportunity: 20%. Estimated total cash range: $211,200.00 - $360,000.00.
