About the role
The Business Office Manager in Training provides leadership over the financial duties of the facility including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, benefits administration and resident trust.
Responsibilities
- Guide, inspire, and support the office team to achieve high standards of accuracy, accountability and promote a positive and collaborative environment
- Ensure accuracy in documentation, record keeping, data entry, financial reporting and billing
- Address issues effectively by prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines and managing multiple responsibilities
- Engage with residents and families with empathy and clarity
- Communicate clearly and effectively with interdisciplinary teams
- Resolve conflicts and mediate disputes
- Create a comforting and engaging atmosphere for residents
- Collaborate with departments, professionals, consultants, and organizations including government regulatory agencies
- Work towards a common goal of excellent care for residents
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; college preferred
- One to three years of nursing home or business office accounting experience preferred
- Knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare systems
- Customer service focus and demonstrated alignment with core values
