About the role

The Business Office Director is responsible for assisting residents, families, coworkers, visitors, and others in the Morning Pointe Community. They are also expected to demonstrate Morning Pointe's mission and values in all interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the day-to-day accounting, payroll, and human resources functions of the Community.
  • Supervise the Receptionist on all shifts and weekends.
  • Handle inquiries and conduct tours to assist with the sales process.
  • Develop and implement a marketing plan.
  • Prepare reports to track data and analyze data to meet adjusting needs.
  • Contribute as a positive team member and assist with various administrative tasks.
  • Manage files in compliance with state, federal, and regional laws.
  • Support the Human Resource Function including background checks, drug screenings, E-verify, I-9, new hire orientation, benefits, OSHA logs, workers compensation, etc.
  • Facilitate timely deposits of all checks/cash.
  • Maintain an organized calendar of appointments and events for the Executive Director.
  • Assist with Manager on Duty responsibilities.
  • Ensure the property is always tour-ready.
  • Monitor the telephone on-hold message to ensure it is playing and is seasonally correct.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a two-year degree preferred.
  • One year of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, or Human Resources practices.
  • Intermediate computer skills and knowledge.
  • Intermediate typing skills (45 words per minute).
  • Excellent verbal, telephone, and written communication skills.
  • Proven skills working independently and self-directed.
  • Comfortable with the computer and programs such as WORD, EXCEL, and OUTLOOK.
  • Ability to assist the Executive Director with handling inquiries and tours.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm.
  • Knowledge of computers, data entry/retrieval, output, etc.
  • Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
  • Knowledgeable of computers, data entry/retrieval, output, etc.
  • Ability to examine and verify financial documents and reports.
  • Ability to prepare financial and other records in a systematic, neat, and legible manner.
