Core Responsibilities
- Leading Managing and Holding People Accountable (LMA)
- Supervise the engagement (job) / Ensures QX (technical) standards
- Takes care of the client (meets deadlines, timely communication)
- Analytical skills (tax knowledge, monthly accounting reports, investment reports)
- Develops engagement team (prepares seniors to the next level)
Essential Functions
- Perform quarterly and year-end tax planning, including identification of planning opportunities and risk areas
- Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, S Corporations, C Corporations, LLCs, partnerships, and trusts
- Review general ledger activity, journal entries, and account classifications for accuracy and tax readiness
- Ensure financial records are complete, reconciled, and supportable for tax filings, audits, and external reporting
- Validate treatment of distributions, loans, intercompany activity, and other complex transactions
- Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules used for tax reporting and compliance
- Identify and resolve discrepancies, unusual transactions, and misstatements impacting financial and tax reporting
- Oversee bookkeeping staff, including review of work performed and correction of errors
- Prepare and compile financial information required for tax compliance, audits, and lender reporting
- Performs other duties as assigned by management or partners.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required
- CPA License required
- 5+ years of tax, accounting or bookkeeping experience including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger and financial reports
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax concepts
- Experience working with closely held businesses, high-net-worth individuals, or business management clients; entertainment industry experience preferred
- Proficiency in accounting software such as AgilLink , QuickBooks, or similar platforms
- Strong analytical, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines while maintaining strict confidentiality
Pay
$125,000 - $150,000
