Business Loan Consultant
About the role
The Business Loan Consultant (BLC) manages all loan sizes, both inbound opportunities working directly with Business Owners and existing referral partners to drive deal conversion. This role works closely with brokers and referral partners to ensure a smooth and efficient loan origination process. The BLC serves as a key point of contact for incoming deals, helping evaluate opportunities, gather required documentation, and move transactions forward.
Responsibilities
- Manage inbound loan opportunities across all loan sizes and loan products from referral partners, brokers, and marketing channels
- Serve as a primary point of contact for partners and business owners during the intake and pre-submission process
- Educate both on Lendistry’s unique value add, ensuring a long-term relationship with customers
- Conduct initial deal screening for eligibility, structure, and basic credit fit
- Collect, review, and organize borrower documentation including financials, tax returns, and bank statements
- Prepare and package complete loan files for submission to the Credit Team
- Maintain consistent communication with partners and business owners to provide updates and move deals forward
- Track and manage pipeline activity to ensure timely progression of all opportunities
- Input and maintain accurate data in CRM systems
- Cook up and coordinate with internal teams including credit, processing, and closing
- Identify opportunities to improve conversion rates and operational efficiency
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field. 2 to 5 years of experience in lending, banking, sales support, or financial services. Working knowledge of small business lending and loan structures (SBA experience preferred). Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication skills with both internal teams and external partners. Ability to manage a high-volume pipeline with attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with CRM systems preferred. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to move deals forward proactively.

Pay
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $65,000 - $85,000 annually plus commission. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base salary for new hires for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by multiple factors like job-related skills, experience, and state of residence.
Schedule
This is a stationary position that requires frequent sitting (approximately 95%), repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. It also may require occasional standing, lifting, carrying of 20lbs or less, walking, kneeling, bending/stooping, twisting, pulling/pushing, and reaching above the shoulder. Employees in this position must be physically able to efficiently perform the essential functions of the position.
