Job Description Are you a strategic finance leader who enjoys partnering with operations, influencing business decisions, and driving financial performance? We are seeking a Shapes Business Line Controller to serve as the financial leader for our GEP and PE Shapes business lines, providing strategic financial guidance that supports growth, profitability, and operational excellence. Candidates should be located in or near Reading, PA or Scranton, PA, as this role partners closely with business leadership and supports multiple manufacturing facilities throughout North America. This highly visible position collaborates with commercial teams, plant operations, and executive leadership to deliver financial insight, improve decision-making, and drive business performance. You'll have full P&L responsibility while leading financial planning, forecasting, cost analysis, and a team of Managerial Accountants across multiple manufacturing sites. What You'll Do Lead Business Line Financial Strategy Serve as the financial leader for the Shapes (GEP and PE) business linesPartner with Business Line Managers and leadership teams to provide strategic financial guidance and supportDevelop a deep understanding of business operations, products, and financial drivers to influence key business decisionsParticipate as a key member of the business leadership team by providing financial analysis, recommendations, and strategic insightsSupport business initiatives that drive growth, profitability, and operational excellence Own Financial Performance & P&L Management Maintain full Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility for the Shapes business linesEnsure the accuracy of product line profitability, cost allocations, and financial reportingPerform detailed financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and business risksDeliver meaningful financial reporting that supports operational and commercial decision-makingMonitor key financial metrics and provide recommendations to improve business performance Drive Financial Analysis & Business Improvement Analyze product margins, material margins, KPIs, and operational performance to identify improvement opportunitiesProvide financial guidance for pricing strategies, commercial activities, and customer quotationsPartner with business leaders to develop initiatives that improve profitability and operational performancePerform ad hoc financial analyses that support strategic business initiatives and executive decision-making Partner with Manufacturing Operations Collaborate with plant leadership and Managerial Accountants across multiple manufacturing facilitiesSupport plant cost analyses, product costing, process improvements, and cost-saving initiativesMeasure and report the financial impact of operational improvement projectsDrive continuous improvement in cost accounting processes, financial reporting, and business controls Lead Planning, Forecasting & Team Development Partner with business leadership to develop annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-range business plansSupport the Americas Controller with consolidated budgeting and forecasting activitiesLead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of Managerial AccountantsFoster employee development, succession planning, and continuous learning within the finance organizationBuild a collaborative, high-performing team focused on operational excellence and business partnership What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting required8–10 years of progressive experience in cost accounting, financial accounting, or manufacturing financePrevious Controller or Controlling experience within a manufacturing environment requiredStrong understanding of manufacturing operations, product costing, financial planning, and financial analysisExperience managing budgeting, forecasting, and full P&L responsibilityAdvanced proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft ExcelExcellent analytical and technical accounting skillsAbility to communicate complex financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholdersProven leadership experience with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teamsStrong business acumen, integrity, and a passion for continuous improvement Preferred Qualifications CPA, CMA, or MBAExperience supporting multi-site manufacturing operationsExperience partnering with Commercial, Operations, and Executive Leadership teamsStrong background in cost accounting, pricing strategy, KPI development, and financial performance analysis Why Join Us? The salary range for this position is $89,350-$134,030 USD Annual. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered.
