Business Lead - Site / Civil Engineer, Atlanta
About the role
The Site / Civil Engineering Land Development group at Stantec is expanding its presence in Georgia. We are currently seeking a Business Lead to manage our Civil Engineering operations in the Georgia market. This role offers a hybrid work schedule consisting of a minimum of three days in the office each week and up to two days per week working remotely.
Responsibilities
- Manage significant projects, coordinating with clients and government agencies, and Stantec's local and regional teams.
- Lead and implement business development strategies for new clients and strategic pursuits.
- Maintain and strengthen existing client relationships and play a key role in client management and satisfaction.
- Mentor and empower junior staff and other team members.
- Plan and manage projects and tasks to complete them on time and within budget.
- Oversee team and project metrics to ensure successful project delivery while maintaining profitability.
Requirements
- Experience with both private and public sector clients and projects.
- Established network of relationships in Georgia is a plus.
- Successful experience in responding to Requests for Qualifications, Requests for Proposals, and Statements of Qualifications.
- Strong leadership, emotional intelligence, team building and communication skills.
- Experience managing junior staff, client relationships, and complex projects.
- Excellent oral, written, and graphic communication skills.
Credentials
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensed in the state of Georgia.
- 12+ years of progressive engineering and project management experience in relevant civil/site or land development engineering and project management in Georgia is preferred.
