About the Role
Responsible for the creation of data warehousing and reporting solutions utilizing SAP tools across multiple systems including SAP HANA, Business Warehouse (BW), and Data Services. Build backend data warehouse infrastructure with SAP ETL options and reporting layers to ensure data integrity, security, and performance. Partner with business analysts and subject-matter experts to gather and document requirements, then translate them into professional reporting solutions. Provide technical guidance to junior developers, review their work, and propose innovative solutions to complex problems.
Responsibilities
- Develop complete ETL data-flow models—source extraction, transformations, loading, and report creation.
- Document solution directions, data flows, design specifications, and technical specifications.
- Create reporting backend infrastructure and complex reports that enhance the end-user experience and meet business requirements.
- Write ABAP code for extractions, transformation routines, and user exits.
- Build business-intelligence reports in support of the college’s mission.
- Engage users to gather and document requirements; ensure deliverables match functional specifications.
- Analyze complex data and process issues; recommend and implement innovative solutions.
- Troubleshoot, debug, tune, and optimize data loads and report performance.
- Collaborate with Basis and Portal teams to optimize system performance and monitor usage.
- Create and execute test scripts to validate report accuracy and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with developers and business analysts to resolve complex problems.
- Provide end-user and support-desk support, including reporting navigation and data questions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; equivalent work experience considered.
- Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience developing SAP BI models (SAP BW and SAP BODS) and participation in at least 5 full lifecycle projects.
- Experience with HANA modeling and SAP Analytic Cloud report creation.
- Hands-on experience developing Power BI dashboards and writing DAX expressions to enhance visuals.
- Expertise scripting in R and Python.
- Solid understanding of database management concepts, including SQL, SQL Script, and stored procedures.
- Strong experience publishing and distributing Business Intelligence reports.
- Hands-on experience with SAP authorization.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Experience with SAP Finance (Grants, Funds, General Ledger) or Human Capital Management (HCM Payroll, Benefits, SuccessFactors) modules.
- Knowledge of Research Administrative Systems (e.g., InfoEd) and research workflows.

Pay
$130,500 – $149,500 per year
