Business Intelligence Developer

About the role

Weinstein Properties, a family-owned company with 60+ years of success managing apartment communities across multiple states, is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer. The ideal candidate will replace static reports with interactive dashboards, using SQL, Python, and Microsoft Fabric to build scalable Power BI dashboards. They will also contribute to the broader goal of centralizing and simplifying data access.

Responsibilities

• Query and transform data using SQL and Python
• Build and maintain data pipelines in a cloud platform
• Create and maintain interactive dashboards in Power BI
• Collaborate with the IT team and stakeholders to design, build, and deploy high-impact dashboards
• Ensure clear communication and user-friendly designs
• Stay current with new tools and technologies as needed

Requirements

• Experience writing SQL and Python for data tasks
• Experience with data warehousing in a cloud platform
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines
• Experience with Power BI or similar BI tools
• Clear communication skills
• Willingness to learn new tools and technologies

Qualifications

• Experience designing aesthetically pleasing, user-oriented tools
• Experience with access controls, permissions management, and Active Directory
• Experience working with Microsoft Fabric, Lakehouse environments, or modern cloud data platforms
• Experience deploying dashboards to broad internal audiences
• Experience with front-end web development, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Familiarity with data refresh processes and performance optimization
• Experience collaborating with IT teams on data pipelines or access controls
• Interest in improving data quality, governance, and documentation

Skills

• Data engineering (building pipelines from source to page)
• Design aesthetics/user experience
