Responsibilities

  • Create and carry out a long-range BI and analytics roadmap that supports organizational priorities and future technology direction.
  • Direct the advancement of enterprise reporting and analytics platforms, including cloud-based data environments and legacy BI systems, to improve scalability and usability.
  • Establish strong data governance, quality controls, and master data practices so reporting remains reliable and consistent across business functions.
  • Lead the design and delivery of dashboards, KPI frameworks, self-service reporting tools, and advanced analytics capabilities such as predictive insights and anomaly monitoring.
  • Oversee the BI technology ecosystem, including platform integrations, system performance, and connectivity with ERP applications, cloud services, databases, and external data sources.
  • Collaborate with executives, business partners, architects, and IT teams to prioritize initiatives and identify opportunities to improve operations through analytics.
  • Guide organizational adoption of modern analytics practices by driving communication, stakeholder alignment, and change management efforts.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing BI team by setting clear expectations, encouraging skill development, and promoting accountability and innovation.
  • Manage budgets, vendor relationships, delivery metrics, and operational performance to ensure stable, cost-effective analytics services.
  • Support enterprise data modernization efforts, including transitions from traditional SAP BW environments to newer SAP data and analytics platforms when applicable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • At least 7 years of progressive leadership experience in business intelligence, analytics, data engineering, or a comparable discipline.
  • Demonstrated success leading enterprise BI transformation initiatives and modernizing large-scale reporting environments.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP BW, and SAP Business Objects, including data modeling and analytics delivery.
  • Experience integrating SAP-based platforms with cloud technologies, enterprise data environments, databases, and third-party applications.
  • Working understanding of core SAP functional areas such as FI, SD, MM, PP, and HR, along with the related data structures.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach teams, influence stakeholders, and drive cross-functional execution.
  • Background in business architecture, data architecture, and SAP technologies such as SAP ERP, SAP HANA, SAP Data Services, and SAP S/4HANA.
