General Summary

The Business Intelligence Analyst is a key role in the Corporate Controllers organization responsible for delivering financial and business performance reporting across the global enterprise. The position designs, builds, and maintains reporting solutions using Microsoft Power BI and governed semantic models sourced from the Snowflake data warehouse. The position leverages modern tools to update legacy workflows and implement more efficient delivery of information. The position plays a key role in the implementation of Microsoft Copilot / AI within the Finance division.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop an end-to-end understanding of the Finance data and reporting landscape.
  • Publish financial and operational reporting (monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc) using governed Power BI semantic models and certified datasets sourced from the Snowflake data warehouse and SAP, in coordination with Finance Division management.
  • Validate and reconcile report outputs to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with enterprise data sources and source-of-truth systems.
  • Build and maintain Excel-based user applications that facilitate the financial forecasting and reporting cycles, as well as address Finance Division efficiency opportunities; apply VBA and Office Scripts selectively where cloud-native alternatives are not yet available.
  • Partner with IT to define business requirements for new and enhanced Power BI semantic models (e.g., royalties, labor efficiency hours, COPA), participate in validation and parallel-run cycles, and build the downstream consumption layer on completed models.
  • Develop and maintain financial process automated workflows using Power Automate (cloud and desktop) and Office Scripts — including refresh orchestration, file movement across SharePoint and OneDrive, and reduction of manual touchpoints; use VBA selectively as a bridge for legacy Excel workflows.
  • Serve as a Finance Division super-user across the Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, Power Apps) from application source to data warehouse, to governed downstream models consumed via Power BI.
  • Train and support end users in Power BI and Excel consumption and delivery, promoting self-service reporting on governed datasets and certified data sources.
  • Apply Microsoft Copilot (Excel, Power BI, M365) to accelerate analysis, documentation, model interpretation, and prompt/code iteration; contribute use cases and feedback to the Finance AI adoption initiative.
  • Create and maintain documentation, SOPs, and user guides for Finance data assets, semantic models, and reporting tools, ensuring audit-readiness and effective knowledge transfer.
  • Support the organization's transition from local network-drive workflows to certified SharePoint and OneDrive cloud locations, improving accessibility, version control, and AI-readiness of Finance data assets.
