Responsibilities
- Data Reporting and Visualization
- Design and build interactive reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools like Power BI or similar platforms.
- Provide actionable insights to support both tactical and strategic decision-making.
- Data Analysis
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and other analysts on data management tasks.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance data quality, accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Report Writer
- Support SMEs in enhancing their data and BI tool usage.
- Guide on best practices for data interpretation, reporting, and decision-making.
- Data Quality and Governance
- Create and manage documentation and procedures for data standards and best practices.
- Aid business units in understanding data governance and improving organization-wide data quality.
- Technical Support and Guidance
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, analysts, and stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot data and system issues.
- Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated with regulations, best practices, and new technologies.
- Participate in educational opportunities and maintain professional networks.
- Team Player
- Collaborate effectively within the team.
- Ensuring Regulatory & Operational Excellence
- Maintain the integrity of WaFd’s business needs in all processes and activities.
- Adhere to bank policies and procedures to comply with federal regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- High proficiency with data visualization and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
- Familiarity with data management principles, data governance practices, and data modeling concepts.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
Skills
- Leverage artificial intelligence (AI) to improve data analysis, reporting, and business decision-making.
- Proven experience (1+ years) in a role focused on data management, analysis, or analytics.
- Knowledge of computer systems and appropriate software applications, including strong technical aptitude and understanding of Microsoft Office Suite of products.
