Responsibilities

• Data Reporting and Visualization
• Design and build interactive reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools like Power BI or similar platforms.
• Provide actionable insights to support both tactical and strategic decision-making.
• Data Analysis
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and other analysts on data management tasks.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance data quality, accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Report Writer
• Support SMEs in enhancing their data and BI tool usage.
• Guide on best practices for data interpretation, reporting, and decision-making.
• Data Quality and Governance
• Create and manage documentation and procedures for data standards and best practices.
• Aid business units in understanding data governance and improving organization-wide data quality.
• Technical Support and Guidance
• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, analysts, and stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot data and system issues.
• Continuous Improvement
• Stay updated with regulations, best practices, and new technologies.
• Participate in educational opportunities and maintain professional networks.
• Team Player
• Collaborate effectively within the team.
• Ensuring Regulatory & Operational Excellence
• Maintain the integrity of WaFd’s business needs in all processes and activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High proficiency with data visualization and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
• Familiarity with data management principles, data governance practices, and data modeling concepts.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

Skills

• Leverage artificial intelligence (AI) to improve data analysis, reporting, and business decision-making.
• Proven experience (1+ years) in a role focused on data management, analysis, or analytics.
• Knowledge of computer systems and appropriate software applications, including strong technical aptitude and understanding of Microsoft Office Suite of products.
