Position Overview

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to turn ABL’s data into trusted reporting and insight that drives decisions across Sales, Marketing, Underwriting, Capital Markets, and the executive team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather, clarify, and document reporting and analytics requirements, restating the requirement back to the requester before any build.

  • Develop and maintain well-structured datasets and semantic models that produce consistent, agreed metric definitions across the business.

  • Produce mockups for stakeholder sign-off before building, then refine the delivered report against the confirmed mockup.

  • Validate data and reconcile figures across source systems so that reporting can be trusted.

  • Define and document metric definitions, business logic, and data dictionaries so terminology stays consistent across teams.

  • Support marketing and sales analytics, including lead and funnel reporting, attribution, and conversion analysis.

  • Build executive and board-level reporting, distilling detailed analysis into clear, concise narratives.

  • Document reports, data sources, and processes so they are maintainable and transferable.

  • Contribute to data quality and governance by surfacing issues and helping define standards.

Experience & Seniority

  • 3 to 6 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or reporting roles.

  • Proven experience building production reports and dashboards used by business stakeholders.

  • Strong ability to translate ambiguous business questions into clear requirements and deliver against them.

  • Experience working directly with non-technical stakeholders and communicating insight clearly.

  • Comfortable owning deliverables end to end within a structured process.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, business, or technical field.

  • BI or analytics certifications are a plus, for example Power BI certification.

Technical Skills & Proficiency

  • Reporting & Analytics: Strong proficiency with Power BI, including data modeling and DAX.

  • Expert-level SQL for querying, transformation, and analysis.

  • Experience with HubSpot reporting or a comparable CRM analytics platform.

  • Familiarity with modern cloud data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, or Databricks.

  • Exposure to dbt or a similar transformation framework is a plus.

  • Familiarity with version control such as Git and a structured, documented way of working.

  • Comfort working with multiple source systems such as CRM, ERP, and loan servicing, and reconciling across them.
