About the Role
The Business Insights Specialist analyzes complex datasets and applies business expertise to generate insights that support growth and strategic decision-making. Serving as a liaison between analytics teams and business stakeholders, this role translates business requirements into meaningful analyses and communicates findings through clear presentations and visualizations.
Responsibilities
- Analyze curated and aggregated data sources to generate relevant business insights.
- Interpret complex business issues and identify opportunities for growth and value creation.
- Present insights and recommended actions to business leaders using tailored visualizations and presentations.
- Serve as the primary interface between business stakeholders and analytics teams to translate requirements effectively.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to influence and guide business decisions.
- Provide domain-specific business expertise to contextualize analytical findings.
- Escalate data and process issues and recommend appropriate resolutions.
- Support day-to-day analytics delivery and operational activities.
- Develop and execute analyses to validate proof-of-concept initiatives.
- Train business users on incorporating analytics into decision-making processes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable internal and external regulatory requirements.
- Manage relationships across business lines and control functions to align analytics initiatives with enterprise needs.
- Promote a strong risk management culture and effective control processes.
- Participate in team activities that support quality, innovation, and timely communication.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree or advanced technical degree preferred in mathematics, physics, engineering, finance, computer science, or a related field.
- Graduate degree with relevant professional experience may also be considered.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience, with higher education and research tenure potentially substituting for some experience.
Pay
Base salary range: $91,000–$136,240 per year. Actual compensation may vary based on skills, experience, knowledge, location, and business needs.
