Business Immigration Associate Attorney (5-7 years)

• Build, strengthen, and maintain strong client relationships with key stakeholders, including participation in client meetings, briefings, workshops, and Q&A sessions, while proactively providing client reporting.
• Formulate immigration strategies for intricate matters, presenting well-structured and concise arguments.
• Engage with clients at middle and senior management levels, offering counsel and consultation as necessary.
• Serve as a business advisor with a comprehensive working knowledge of immigration law, demonstrating a keen grasp of the client, industry, and associated risks.
• Acquire in-depth expertise in sector-specific issues and apply this knowledge to address and resolve client scenarios.
• Ensure compliance with firm protocols for file maintenance, record keeping, and use of firm systems, including data quality in Connect and other technology.
• Research complex technical immigration issues and formulate solutions, including completion of appropriate documentation.
• Independently execute case preparation and filing, and develop strategies for complex matters.
• Identify and capitalize on revenue opportunities by exploring new business initiatives and recognizing growth avenues within the team’s existing client base.
• Directly or indirectly supervise Associates and other staff, providing mentoring, coaching, and performance management.
• Lead continuous improvement processes, including seeking opportunities to enhance quality, efficiency, and standardization of processes, products, or services.
• Support Partners and senior team members on client proposals, pitches, practice area business plans, and RFPs.
• Proactively identify and participate in marketing and business development opportunities.
• Foster a culture of collaboration across teams locally, regionally, and firmwide.
• Ensure compliance with documented firm standards and policies to mitigate risk and ensure regulatory, operational, and client compliance.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• U.S. JD or LLM required.
• Member of a U.S. State bar or Washington DC bar association.
• 5-8 years of experience at the Associate level.
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of immigration law.
• Prior team management experience strongly preferred.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $175,000.00 - $218,000.00 for individuals working a hybrid schedule in the office locally. Placement within the range varies based on skills, experience, qualifications, work location, work arrangement, licensure, certifications, and applicable laws. You may also be eligible for benefits, including 401K and paid time off plans.
