Business Finance Analyst

Summary

Audits all areas of the finance operations to discover inefficiencies and recommend improvements to the business model.

Essential Job Functions

• Maintains an effective control environment under SOX 404 for the accounting operations he or she oversees.
• Updates and modifies control design as necessary and oversees control remediation activities.
• Understands the business process management of the company.
• Learns about the strengths and weaknesses of the financial situation of the company.
• Designs alternative business process workflows.
• Implements solutions.
• Supervises the execution process.
• Makes appropriate recommendations for suggested solutions.
• Prepares reports for proposed suggestions.
• Gets feedback and comments and acts upon them.
• Possesses and stays abreast with knowledge about relevant software.
• Identifies areas for improvements and business issues.

Required Minimum Knowledge and Skills

• Master’s Degree preferred
• 2-3 years of related experience in the Human Services field preferred

Physical Requirements

Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
