Business Execution Consultant Branch Network Planning & Governance

Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Execution Consultant to drive branch network optimization initiatives, manage critical business processes, and support enterprise-level decision-making. This role serves as a key partner across multiple functions—including Finance, Marketing, Operations, Real Estate, and Branch Leadership—to ensure the branch network operates efficiently and aligns with corporate strategy.

Responsibilities

• Drive execution of initiatives spanning data analysis, planning activities, governance routines, leader and partner socialization, implementation, and post-implementation analysis.
• Analyze complex and often ambiguous data sets to inform decision-making and support leadership discussions.
• Create executive-ready presentations and materials that clearly articulate issues, options, and recommendations for senior leadership.
• Provide leadership in managing relationships and implementing programs, services, and initiatives with cross-functional business partners.
• Ensure efficiency, quality, cost-effectiveness of solutions, and pipeline management relating to assigned initiatives and operations.
• Research moderately complex business, operational, and strategic initiatives requiring analytical skills, basic knowledge of organizational strategy, and understanding of international business.
• Assist in planning and executing a variety of programs and initiatives, including risk mitigation, efficiency improvements, and customer experience enhancements.
• Collaborate and consult with team leaders in developing project plans, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

• 2+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
• 2+ years of experience using advanced Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and forecasting.
• 2+ years of experience developing business cases, financial analyses, or recommendations for leadership and stakeholders.
• 2+ years of experience partnering with cross-functional teams to execute business initiatives and drive results.
• 2+ years of delivering presentations to audiences in a professional business environment.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with retail banking or a national branch network environment.
• Experience with branch network planning, space and capacity management, and Branch Distribution Strategy.
• Experience creating business cases to support strategic investments and operational decisions.
• Ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders concurrently.
• Proficiency with MS suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to translate complex data into clear, executive-ready insights and recommendations.
• Knowledge of governance processes, data management, and operational controls.
• Experience partnering with Finance, Marketing, Real Estate, and Operations teams on cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience working in a growing, evolving, or highly matrixed organization.

Schedule

• Hybrid work schedule, requiring employees to work in the office three (3) days per week.
• Standard 8-hour workday during onsite days.
• Ability to travel up to 10% as business needs require.
