About the role

The Business Director will lead and develop strategies to drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Capital One in response to evolving consumer and regulatory demands. They will work closely with colleagues across Capital One, including Software Engineers, Sales, Operations, Product Managers, and Finance, to enhance quality, volume, service, and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic leadership: Develop and implement business strategies that align with Capital One's objectives.

  • Leadership: Manage and develop multiple analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

  • Technology Product Development and Process Management: Create and refine processes and tools, collaborating with engineering to improve forecasting, monitoring, and automation.

  • Oversee multiple projects and programs, balancing both scaled and hands-on delivery of business intent.

  • Partnership: Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment and successful execution of initiatives.

  • Strategic and analytic orientation: Apply rigorous analytics and decision-making skills to drive business outcomes.

  • People leadership: Build and lead high-performing teams, driving critical decisions and accountability.

  • Executive communication: Communicate effectively and influence stakeholders to achieve business goals.

  • Results orientation: Focus on achieving both short-term and long-term objectives, leveraging opportunities for growth and innovation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • At least 4 years of experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis

  • At least 2 years of experience in people management and project management

  • Master’s Degree preferred

  • Experience in financial services and consulting preferred

Pay

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role vary by location:

  • New York, NY: $251,400 - $286,900
  • Remote (Regardless of Location): $209,500 - $239,100
  • Mclean, VA: $230,400 - $263,000

This role is remote-eligible.
