About the Role
This position provides support for the administrative, sales, and management needs in the branch while also backing up the sales team on customer needs and growing sales at assigned accounts. A strong predictor of success is the ability to collaborate effectively with the inside team, field sales, and management to build solid relationships with people, customers, and suppliers. You will utilize all available resources, services, and personnel to make Heilind indispensable to the customer.
Responsibilities
- Support administrative, sales, and management needs in the branch.
- Back up the sales team on customer needs and grow sales at assigned accounts.
- Collaborate with the inside team, field sales, and management to build relationships with customers and suppliers.
- First 2 weeks: Meet with branch leadership to understand the Company’s vision, key objectives, and individual expectations.
- First 30 days: Learn the structure of Heilind and system tools to perform all job-related tasks with the help of your Inside Sales Manager (BSOM).
- First 60 days: Understand branch support priorities, proactively introduce yourself to accounts, meet with the Field Sales Team to review top 15 accounts, and become comfortable with CRM and sales tools.
- First 90 days: Execute priority support functions at a high level, introduce yourself to top 10 Supplier Reps, discuss growth opportunities with them, and complete all assigned training modules.
- First 6 months: Balance branch support and new account development/sales roles, identify 5 new customers with growth potential, and profile existing accounts to uncover $100,000 in new opportunities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least two years of sales/marketing experience or sales support, preferably in electronic component distribution or a closely related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with sales tools such as CRM is a plus.
- Certified Professional Salesperson (CPSP) Certification or Customer Care Professional Certification is a plus.
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).
- Must be able to report to the assigned office location during scheduled in-office workdays.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent professional conversation etiquette, especially in person and over the phone.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, sitting, computer use, reading, writing, typing, and use of copy machines and telephones.

- Close visual acuity required for activities such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading.
