About the Role

The Business Development Representative (BDR) will own the entire early-to-mid stage customer acquisition cycle. In this role, you will identify high-value commercial prospects, initiate direct conversations with business decision-makers, discover their physical branding needs, and shepherd prospects through to a signed agreement. You will not be expected to create technical drawings or price jobs. We operate a dedicated in-house design and estimating team that produces all vector concepts, physical mockups, material specifications, and price ranges for you. Your core focus is pure consultative selling: building relationships, pitching options, handling objections, presenting our designs, and securing client commitments.

About Our Company

We are a full-service, custom signage and physical branding company headquartered in San Antonio, Texas. We partner with commercial clients throughout Texas and across the United States to bring their physical environments to life. Unlike brokers or middlemen, we manage the full lifecycle in-house—including custom metal and structural fabrication, printing, installation, and ongoing site service. Because every sign we build is custom-engineered to a client's specific architectural, material, and brand requirements, we pride ourselves on delivering end-to-end quality and high-touch customer solutions. We are actively expanding our national footprint and looking for an ambitious, self-directed Business Development Representative to spearhead our top-of-funnel outreach and deal execution.

Responsibilities

  • Business Development & Prospecting
    • Conduct proactive outbound sales outreach via phone, email, and social channels to commercial business owners, general contractors, property management firms, and marketing directors.
    • Research municipal commercial developments, new business licenses, commercial rebrands, and renovation projects across key Texas and U.S. markets.
    • Build, qualify, and maintain an active pipeline of mid-to-large scale commercial opportunities.
    • Re-engage cold, dormant, or stalled leads to uncover new project timelines.
  • Consultative Sales & Account Management
    • Lead initial discovery conversations to evaluate project scope, brand vision, physical site parameters, and customer budget ranges.
    • Position the company’s full-suite capabilities (exterior architectural signs, interior branding, illuminated channel letters, directional signage, vehicle wraps, and custom fabrication).
    • Serve as the main point of contact for clients from initial cold call through design presentation and contract execution.
  • Design & Estimating Coordination
    • Gather comprehensive project requirement briefs (site photos, brand guidelines, dimensions, municipal restrictions) from the prospect.
    • Brief our internal U.S. design and estimating team to produce custom concepts and price estimates.
    • Present design proposals and budget ranges back to the client, selling them on the quality, materials, and long-term value of the solution.
    • Relay client revisions back to the design team to ensure rapid turnaround.
  • CRM & Pipeline Administration
    • Document all prospect communications, follow-ups, meeting notes, and deal stages in CoreBridge CRM.
    • Manage daily follow-up task queues to ensure zero lead drop-off.
    • Provide pipeline visibility and monthly forecasting to executive leadership.

Requirements

  • Must-Have Experience
    • Sales Track Record: 2 to 5 years of professional experience in outbound B2B sales, business development, or account management.
    • Complex/Custom Solution Aptitude: Proven experience selling made-to-order, customized, or project-based products (e.g., commercial signage, print/packaging, construction products, architectural finishes, commercial interiors, or custom fabrication).
    • Self-Direction: Demonstrated ability to manage a workday independently, set daily activity goals, and achieve results without micromanagement.
    • CRM Capability: Hands-on experience navigating and updating pipeline management software (CoreBridge, Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
  • Communication & Shift Requirements
    • English Proficiency: Near-native or flawless spoken and written English skills with an engaging tone suitable for outbound calls to C-suite and business owners.
    • Workday Overlap: Ability to maintain reliable working availability aligned with 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Central Standard Time (CST).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual Ability: Fluent in Spanish (written and verbal). Highly advantageous for engaging Texas and regional Southwestern business owners.
  • Signage Industry Knowledge: Direct prior sales experience within physical signage, large-format printing, or commercial graphics.
  • CoreBridge Software: Hands-on experience with the CoreBridge management software.

  • Latin America: $2,200 - $3,300 USD / month base
  • South Africa: $1,900 - $2,900 USD / month base

  • Autonomy & Flexibility: We evaluate performance on results, metrics, and closed business rather than strict hourly oversight.
