Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager / Territory Sales Manager to drive new business growth within the Life Sciences market. This role is ideal for a sales professional with a proven track record of selling laboratory or CRO services to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and academic research organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies to expand the client portfolio within Pharma, Biotech, CRO, and Academic Research organizations.
- Generate new business through prospecting, cold calling, networking, client visits, and industry events.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and existing clients.
- Lead the sales cycle from opportunity identification through proposal development, contract negotiation, and deal closure.
- Prepare and negotiate Statements of Work (SOWs), pricing, and commercial agreements.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, and Project Management teams to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Represent the organization at scientific conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
- Consistently achieve or exceed assigned sales and revenue goals.
Required Qualifications
- 5 - 10 years of Business Development or Territory Sales experience within the Life Sciences industry.
- Minimum 5 years of experience selling Laboratory Services, CRO Services, Histology, Pathology, or related scientific services.
- Proven experience selling to Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, CRO, or Academic Research organizations.
- Strong background in prospecting, client acquisition, relationship management, and contract negotiations.
- Demonstrated success in achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.
