As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Business Development Manager to strengthen our commercial presence and drive strategic account development across global accounts and North American market within the Energy sector. This role plays a key part in supporting the company’s growth ambitions in Energy, with direct impact on revenue development and strategic customer relationships. It sits at the intersection of commercial strategy, technical expertise, and international project coordination, supporting customers with engineered solutions across a diverse portfolio of polymer, metal, and composite products. Reporting to the Business Manager, the position is based in the US, and involves frequent travel within North America and occasional international travel. Essential Functions Of This Role Include Own and grow a portfolio of strategic global and regional accounts, with direct responsibility for revenue development and long-term partnership building.Conduct market analysis to identify industry trends, competitive positioning, emerging customer needs, and new business opportunities.Develop and execute a business development plan across global and North America market, expanding market share in energy-related sectors such as O&G, LNG, cryogenics, power generation, and other priority markets to be identified.Promote and sell a multi-product portfolio of engineered sealing, wear & friction, and material solutions (polymer, metal, composite), typically within long and complex sales cyclesConduct regular customer visits to understand technical needs, promote solutions, and ensure high customer satisfactionCoordinate technical development projects, acting as the interface between customers, engineering teams, and multiple manufacturing sites (Europe, North America, Asia)Ensure effective end-to-end sales execution and process coordination with multiple manufacturing sites, including quoting, order management, delivery follow-up, and after-sales support, while ensuring alignment with customer expectations and timelinesLead or contribute to commercial contract negotiation and development, engaging with multiple stakeholders (manufacturing, engineering, management)Represent the company at international trade shows and industry events. IS THIS JOB FOR YOU? BS Degree in a technical field is required (Bachelors degree and 10+ years experience may be considered in lieu of a technical degree).7+years' experience as a business developer or sales professional with a strong background in industrial B2B environments, ideally within energy or engineered solutions sectors.Proven track record in key account management and international business development, managing complex and strategic customersExperience with long sales cycles and value-based selling of engineered or customized solutionsGood understanding of the Energy ecosystem (EPCs, OEMs, operators) is a strong advantageComfortable working with technical products and engaging with engineering teams and customer technical stakeholdersStrong ability, and 2+ years experience managing complex, multi-site projects across different regions and culturesExcellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence diverse stakeholdersAnalytical and strategic thinker, capable of translating market insights into actionable plansWillingness to travel frequently approximately 50% (USA + international) A LITTLE MORE ABOUT US Saint-Gobain's innovations touch almost every major industry around the world, moving us forward, making meaningful connections, and inspiring us to go beyond the impossible. Benefits In Joining Us Certain locations require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $102,000 to $158,000 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for our Sales Incentive Plan. The targeted bonus amount is 20% of base salary (max opportunity 40%) based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $122,400 to $189,600. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
