About the role

We are seeking a strategic Business Development Manager - Energy Sector to drive market growth, revenue, and profitability for our regional product portfolio. In this role, you will champion customer-centric technical solutions and collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product Management, and Marketing to consistently exceed commercial targets and budgets.

You will provide a strong focus on power generation, microgrids, and data center adjacent energy markets, including the rapid growth in energy demand driven by AI infrastructure and AI-generated workloads.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze the market potential for assigned product set, the competitive situation for equivalent products, and the go-to-market strategies of competition.
  • Understand the pricing policy of market participants and market segments.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product Management, and Marketing to formulate unified strategies that capture new customers, industries, and growth opportunities for the product portfolio.
  • Support identification and implementation of customer-specific solutions for target customers.
  • Coordinate product rollouts and define marketing mix.
  • Provide a specific strategy for Distribution Sales channels; actively support Distribution in the field through branch strategy reviews and product training as needed.
  • Develop new marketing and sales strategies for the distribution channel and support the implementation.
  • Actively assist Product Management in championing new product development needs from customers and sales channels to corporate R&D.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in direct sales of electrical/electronic components.
  • Previous experience in strategic Sales Channel Management.
  • Demonstrated success developing business and managing accounts in the power generation, microgrid, or data center energy sectors.
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) with a proven ability to present technical solutions to stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel 50-60% of the time.
  • Valid US Passport for periodic international travel.

Pay

Competitive base salary: $120,000 - $155,000 (commensurate with experience, subject to change dependent on physical location). This role is eligible for a 20% discretionary annual bonus.
