Accountabilities

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to grow opportunities across audit, tax, and advisory service areas.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients, business leaders, and key stakeholders within the assigned market.
  • Identify, research, and qualify new business opportunities through networking, market analysis, referrals, and outbound engagement.
  • Manage a consistent pipeline of prospects by tracking activities, opportunities, and results within CRM systems.
  • Conduct high-volume outreach through multiple channels, including email, phone, professional networks, and sales engagement platforms.
  • Schedule and facilitate business development meetings with qualified prospects.
  • Understand client challenges and communicate how available solutions can support business goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align business development efforts with service capabilities and client needs.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to support growth strategies.
  • Contribute insights from client conversations to help improve positioning, messaging, and go-to-market initiatives.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience in business development, sales, or client growth roles within professional services environments such as accounting, consulting, or legal services.
  • Established business network and strong market relationships within the Bay Area region.
  • Proven success generating leads, developing opportunities, and converting prospects into long-term business relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to engage executives and decision-makers.
  • Experience using CRM and sales intelligence platforms such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, PitchBook, ZoomInfo, Outreach, or Salesforce is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and take ownership of business development initiatives.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a drive to identify new opportunities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and contribute to a team-oriented culture.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and consistent follow-through.
