Business Development Director, Department of Homeland Security-U.S. Coast Guard
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Business Development Executive position at CGI is available in our Fairfax, VA or Arlington, VA office. The role involves working on mission-focused teams delivering solutions and services across cybersecurity, border protection, citizen services, and IT systems modernization at DHS, with a primary focus on the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG).
About the role
You will lead the identification, qualification, and capture of strategic opportunities within the DHS, with a focus on USCG, aligning efforts with CGI's global capabilities and strategic priorities. You will also develop and execute capture strategies, cultivate and expand stakeholder networks, define strategic objectives, and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
Responsibilities
- Lead the identification, qualification, and capture of strategic opportunities within the DHS, with a focus on USCG, aligning efforts with CGI's global capabilities and strategic priorities.
- Develop and execute capture strategies that position CGI for sustainable, profitable growth by leveraging commercial-led global qualifications and aligning with DHS mission needs.
- Cultivate and expand a robust network of DHS and partner stakeholders to strengthen CGI's presence and deliver compelling, proactive solutions tailored to component-specific missions.
- Define and direct strategic objectives across DHS components, ensuring alignment with CGI's growth strategy and bringing forward innovative, technology-enabled solutions, including Artificial Intelligence.
- Support the potential growth of a P&L through successful capture efforts and transition to delivery teams in key areas of expansion.
- Contribute to a collaborative team culture that values partner health, well-being, and work/life balance.
Requirements
- To be successful in this role, US citizenship is required. Extensive knowledge of key DHS programs, executives, and future vision across DHS, specifically with US Coast Guard is preferred. 5+ years of successful capture within the US Federal government with a strong preference towards success at DHS is required.
- Outstanding executive presence and presentation skills, and local to the greater DC metro area are required.
Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of key DHS programs, executives, and future vision across DHS, specifically with US Coast Guard.
- 5+ years of successful capture within the US Federal government with a strong preference towards success at DHS.
- Experience leading the shaping, capture, and award of multiple significant wins ($25M+) in the US Federal IT Services market.
- Outstanding executive presence and presentation skills.
- Local to the greater DC metro area.
Desired qualifications
- Business development, capture and delivery of classified programs that include SCIF requirements.
- Subject matter expertise in domains relevant to CGI interests at DHS including cybersecurity, law enforcement, immigration, or border protection.
- Direct experience supporting US Coast Guard either as a federal employee or contractor.
- Business Development Experience with Customs and Border Patrol (CBP).
Pay
A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $127,500.00 - $310,700.00. CGI provides reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities.
