Responsibilities
- Maintains positive working relationships with all disciplines.
- Maintains composure and tact during stressful interactions.
- Demonstrates skillful telephone etiquette.
- Understands how the position supports the goals of the department and the vision of the organization, including how it supports other departments and processes.
- Strives for professional growth based on identified strengths and weaknesses.
- Promotes and consistently supports a strong customer service culture among all employees and contract personnel.
- Demonstrates a “can do” attitude and fosters respect, courtesy, helpfulness, and teamwork in relationships with staff and external customers.
- Researches prospective business development opportunities.
- Completes a Monthly Operating Report (MOR).
- Participates in giving facility tours, demonstrating an excellent understanding of facility layout and programming offered.
- Participates in the development and execution of business development special events.
- Effectively demonstrates knowledge of patient age groups (child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric) and specific programs related to each.
- Utilizes software to log daily interactions with referral sources.
- Provides hospital spirituality groups and documents group notes.
- Performs other responsibilities as assigned by the CEO or Director of Business Development.
The Community Liaison implements the philosophy, policy, procedures, systems, and strategic goals set forth by the senior management team while maximizing referral potentials from assigned accounts and developing new business to achieve the goals and objectives of facility business development and strategic planning. The Community Liaison markets hospital services to physicians, mental health professionals, EAPs, and other professionals, thereby strengthening facility relationships with these resources.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree.
- Familiarity and connections with the local community; experience working in healthcare preferred.
- Valid Kentucky Driver’s License with a good driving record.
- Public speaking skills—comfortable speaking to small and large groups.
- Knowledge of social media.
- Previous experience in the mental health field preferred.
