About the Role

Identify and close new household goods business opportunities consistent with company goals and objectives, and develop a strong network of referral partnerships. This role is ideal for an energetic professional looking to build a career in sales, business development, community engagement, and relationship management. Whether you're coming from hospitality, recruiting, event management, real estate, customer service, or a recent college program, we'll teach you the moving and relocation industry. This position serves as a market brand ambassador to drive lead generation by continuously seeking new lead sources and nurturing relationships with existing Suddath channel partners.

Responsibilities

  • Aggressively cultivate new business through referrals, local and professional networking, internet research, and social media connections
  • Meet or exceed established self-generated appointment goals, closing ratios, quality scores, and sales volume guidelines
  • Develop and deliver effective and professional sales presentations to key referring partners, including realtors and business networking groups
  • Conduct virtual surveys and travel to customer residences for on-site visual surveys
  • Provide accurate written estimates of service and all applicable information customers need to make informed decisions
  • Ensure thorough communications to establish appropriate expectations for customers and internal teams
  • Embrace best-in-class sales techniques to differentiate from the competition and earn customers’ trust
  • Attend industry events and maintain professional memberships to network and secure new business
  • Work with operations and customer service staff to define customer requirements and ensure top satisfaction
  • Produce and distribute sales activity reports as required and respond to business needs promptly
  • Utilize the CRM platform, HubSpot, to maintain accurate data and improve closing ratios
  • Provide best-in-class customer service, work with integrity, and develop excellent working relationships

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred but not necessary
  • Two to five years of direct sales experience; moving industry experience preferred

  • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as forms, contracts, and procedure manuals; draft routine reports; and speak effectively before groups
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with concrete variables in situations with limited standardization; interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Computer Operations: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; experience with social networking and CRM databases
  • Planning/Organization: Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and organize workflow to manage daily responsibilities and meet deadlines
