Business Development Associate

About the Role

This position falls under our Cross Border line of business and is located in New York City. In this role you’ll collaborate with a high-performing and seasoned sales team to foster new business opportunities in North America within the foreign exchange arena, delivering industry-leading currency risk management and global payment solutions to small and medium-sized businesses across the continent. You will report directly to the Director of Business Development and regularly collaborate with account managers and other sales team members.

How We Work

As a Business Development Associate, you will be expected to work in our New York City office. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:

Responsibilities

• Position conversations toward business owners, C-suite executives, and finance leaders, articulating customized solutions for their currency risk management and global payment needs.
• Collaborate with a high-performing and seasoned sales team to foster new business opportunities in North America within the foreign exchange arena.
• Deliver industry-leading currency risk management and global payment solutions to small and medium-sized businesses across the continent.
• Execute daily outreach to potential businesses, engaging in cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn messaging to qualify and book meetings with new leads or disqualify them as needed.
• Create new business opportunities for the firm while advancing your sales skills and career within the dynamic field of foreign exchange and financial services.

Qualifications & Skills

• 0-2 years of experience in customer service, inside sales, or a similar position.
• Post-secondary education or relevant work experience.
• Highly self-motivated and competitive with a strong drive to generate new business opportunities.
• Intuitive and strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit in your approach to finding new business opportunities.
• Inspired by the work you do, the goals you achieve, and the opportunities you create.
• Open to picking up the phone and aren’t afraid of rejection.
• A strong willingness to succeed with the desire to further your career in sales.
• A high degree of self-motivation and a passion for achieving results.
• Excellent time management, written, verbal, and prospect communication skills.

Pay

The estimate of the minimum and maximum hourly rate is $24.04/hour to $31.97/hour USD. Where a position or applicant may fall in this range depends on factors including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, licenses and certifications (if applicable), and other business and organizational needs. At Corpay, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case.
