Business Development Assistant

About the role
The Business Development Assistant will support overall business development efforts, including marketing events logistics, pitches/RFPs, collateral updates, directory submissions, and other department projects. As part of the firmwide Marketing & Business Development department, this role ensures mailing lists, experience records, and other data projects are handled effectively while assisting with various department-wide tasks.
This is a non-exempt, hybrid position requiring in-office presence three days a week or more for special events. The role may report to one of the following locations: Nashville, Austin, Houston, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Los Angeles, Boston, or DC.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute all marketing events logistics
- Write or assist with pitches/RFPs
- Update marketing collateral
- Ensure mailing lists, experience records, and other data projects are handled efficiently
- Develop audience segmentation and target strategies for email list building and optimization
- Provide email reporting, user training, and support for email policies and best practices
- Handle directory submissions and other departmental projects
- Assist with various department-wide tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field preferred
- Demonstrated initiative, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and time-management skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Exemplary customer service and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in a team
- Initiative, independent thinking, and creative problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to learn and adapt
- Proven ability to work independently while maintaining high efficiency
- Capability to handle multiple tasks with competing deadlines and see projects through to completion
- Flexibility to work the schedule required for event responsibilities
- Ability to walk, bend, kneel, stand, and/or sit for extended periods
Pay
The compensation range for this role is $22.00 to $27.00 USD per hour and may include eligibility for an annual bonus. Actual compensation will depend on location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
