Duties, Responsibilities & Other
- Serve as a strategic business development leader focused on expanding KCI’s presence with New York and New Jersey state agencies, authorities, municipalities, and private-sector infrastructure clients.
- Develop, nurture and utilize personal and professional networks, contacts to connect KCI to revenue generating project opportunities, primarily in the Northeast Region.
- Partner with Business Developers, Market Executives, Regional Directors, marketing coordinators, graphics teams, and technical staff to plan and execute NY/NJ-focused growth strategies and pursuits.
- Develop and implement targeted client capture strategies for both public agency contracts (on-call, term agreements, capital programs) and private development or infrastructure initiatives.
- Identify and qualify opportunities that align with regional and corporate business plans, with emphasis on long-term, programmatic, and strategic growth accounts.
- Lead the development and maintenance of a prioritized pursuit pipeline specific to NY/NJ markets.
- Research and analyze agency capital improvement programs (CIPs), infrastructure funding initiatives, and private development trends to proactively position KCI.
- Identify key industry events, agency conferences, and private-sector networking opportunities throughout New York and New Jersey to strengthen market visibility.
- Lead marketing plan development and win-strategy efforts tailored to NY/NJ public and private client priorities.
- Advance business development efforts through active participation in industry associations, client meetings, public forums, and teaming partner engagements across the region.
- Utilize Microsoft Dynamics CRM to track regional leads, contacts, opportunity stages, and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with technical staff to develop tailored presentations, collateral, qualifications packages, and marketing materials that resonate with NY/NJ client expectations.
- Champion annual and long-term strategic business initiatives that strengthen KCI’s competitive position within the New York and New Jersey markets.
- Assist in developing reporting metrics to track progress against NY/NJ growth goals and return on investment for regional business development efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with an understanding of Engineering or the technical field or equivalent experience required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 9 years of experience.
