About The Role
The role serves as the analytical bridge between business operations and technical data infrastructure. This position sits within the centralized business analytics team to transform raw transactional, user behavior, and financial data into actionable, automated intelligence for executive decision-making. The role requires a blend of advanced SQL expertise, data visualization prowess, and a strong understanding of SaaS business metrics. The analyst will collaborate closely with product, finance, and engineering teams to design reliable data models and ensure key metrics are defined, measured, and socialized consistently.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain production-grade dashboards in Tableau or Looker to track core business KPIs and operational metrics
- Write complex, optimized SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze datasets containing millions of rows across cloud data warehouses like Snowflake or BigQuery
- Partner with data engineers to define analytical schema requirements and help build dbt models that power downstream self-service BI tools
- Conduct deep-dive exploratory data analyses to diagnose business performance anomalies, identify growth drivers, and present findings to leadership
- Establish data governance best practices, ensuring clear documentation of metric definitions, data lineage, and dashboard ownership
What We Are Looking For
- 3–6 years of experience working as a data analyst, business analyst, or analytics engineer in a fast-paced technology or SaaS environment
- Advanced SQL skills, with deep knowledge of analytical window functions, complex joins, CTEs, and query optimization techniques
- Proven experience building scalable data models and intuitive dashboards using BI tools such as Tableau, Looker (LookML), or Power BI
- Solid understanding of SaaS business metrics, including ARR, LTV, CAC, retention rates, and cohort analysis
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- Bonus: Experience with dbt (data build tool), Python/R for basic data manipulation, or git-based version control workflows
