Job Description

Partner: Build relationships with assigned lines of business to understand operations, risks, and recovery requirements
Assess: Lead business impact analyses and identify critical services, dependencies, and resiliency gaps
Plan: Develop and maintain continuity plans, recovery procedures, and playbooks aligned to business and regulatory expectations
Test: Design and facilitate scenario-based exercises and testing to build readiness and “muscle memory” across teams
Advise: Provide guidance to stakeholders on risk, recovery strategies, and program requirements while influencing outcomes without direct authority
Improve: Drive continuous improvement by identifying gaps, monitoring remediation efforts, and supporting the evolution toward risk-based planning and testing

Requirements

  • Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Continuity Planning (BCP), Crisis Management, Business Administration, Risk Management, or related field and 5+ years of related experience in business continuity program management or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Preferred: Working towards or achieved a relevant business continuity certification, such as Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP), Member of the Business Continuity Institute (MBCI), or a related credential
  • Advanced understanding of business impact and GAP analysis; ability to develop and implement short- and long-term continuity and recovery strategies and track progress toward gap remediation
  • In-depth experience designing, executing, and evaluating business continuity/resiliency testing and training programs
  • Strong knowledge of business continuity, disaster recovery, and emergency management leading practices in the Financial Services industry, with ability to develop strategies to sustain critical operations
  • Solid knowledge of security and IT system change control processes
  • Ability to leverage AI, automation, data, and digital tools to enhance risk analysis, identify trends and emerging risks, and strengthen continuity/resiliency processes while aligning with risk frameworks and regulatory expectations
