About the role
EY’s Life Sciences Consulting Services team assists clients in finding the right balance between protecting the business and driving measurable value. This senior role within our Consulting practice will have the opportunity to lead large engagements, build solutions, lead teams, and innovate in the market. Our practice works with large pharma, biotechnology, medical device manufacturers, and medical technology industries.
Responsibilities
- Supporting client engagement teams and working with a wide variety of clients to deliver professional services in the life sciences domain.
- Leading large-scale client engagements and consistently delivering quality client services.
- Maintaining client relationships and networks.
- Developing and maintaining long-term client relationships and networks.
- Managing expectations of client service delivery and staying abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business.
- Fostering an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment by playing an active role in counselling and mentoring junior consultants within the organization.
Requirements
- Strong experience with operational model strategy and build out in the Life Sciences.
- Prior experience leading teams and developing client relationships in the Life Sciences space with a specific focus on commercial and market access.
- Experience with market access, commercial analytics, and overall commercial strategy is a must have.
- Effectively manage and motivate client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds.
- Leading large-scale client engagements and consistently delivering quality client services.
- Making sure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.
- Managing expectations of client service delivery and staying abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business.
- Fostering an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment by playing an active role in counselling and mentoring junior consultants within the organization.
- Developing and maintaining long-term client relationships and networks.
- Developing relationships with team members across all EY practices to serve client needs.
- Remaining current on new developments in the life sciences advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Biology, Pharmacology.
- 6+ years biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience and experience providing advisory services in these industries, focused in at least one of the following areas: Commercial analytics, Brand strategy, Pricing and market access, Commercial operations model transformation, Digital campaign management strategy.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical datasets (e.g. pricing databases, prescription and claims databases, etc.).
- Experience with commercial operations and analytics.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- The executive presence to interact with the C-Suite.
- A willingness to travel to meet client needs.
- Significant advisory/consulting experience is within life sciences is required.
- Life science or biomedical background and experience in data analytics and commercial operations.
- PhD in life sciences or bio-focused engineering discipline.

Pay
The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $138,100 to $315,600. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $165,700 to $358,700.
