About the role
EY’s Life Sciences Consulting Services team assists clients in finding the right balance between protecting the business and driving measurable value. This senior role within our Consulting practice will have the opportunity to lead large engagements, build solutions, lead teams, and innovate in the market. Our practice works with large pharma, biotechnology, medical device manufacturers, and medical technology industries.
Responsibilities
- Supporting client engagement teams and working with a wide variety of clients to deliver professional services in the life sciences domain.
- Leading large-scale client engagements and consistently delivering quality client services.
- Maintaining client expectations and keeping key stakeholders informed about progress and expected outcomes.
- Fostering an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment by playing an active role in counseling and mentoring junior consultants within the organization.
- Developing and maintaining long-term client relationships and networks.
- Remaining current on new developments in the life sciences advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Biology, Pharmacology.
- 6+ years biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Experience providing advisory services in areas such as commercial analytics, brand strategy, pricing and market access, commercial operations model transformation, digital campaign management strategy, and familiarity with pharmaceutical datasets.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- PhD in life sciences or bio-focused engineering discipline (ideally).
Qualifications
- Strong prior experience in Life Science commercial strategy with a focus on operational models.
- Additional experience in market access and commercial analytics is a plus.
- Prior experience working in Strategy focused boutique life sciences or internal strategy roles with top biopharma clients (e.g., Merck, Pfizer, BMS).
- Experience managing a team of at least 5 reports in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
- Executive presence to interact with the C-Suite.
- A willingness to travel to meet client needs.

Pay
The base salary range for this role in the US is $114,800 to $210,600. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento) is $137,900 to $239,300.
Schedule
Our expectation is for most people in external, client-serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project, or year. Employees are granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support their physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
