Business Compliance Intern

Successful interns may have the opportunity to join Lennox full‑time upon graduation. Relocation and/or travel may be required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Support the Business Compliance team by assisting with data validation, reporting, and process documentation.
• Gain hands‑on experience working with large datasets from enterprise systems, including extracting and analyzing data from SAP, and learning how complex data is transformed into meaningful business insights.
• Get exposure to analytics tools such as Power Query, Alteryx, and Databricks (including Genie Rooms and dashboards) while supporting data‑driven decision‑making and reporting accuracy.
• Support compliance projects that require analytics skillsets.
• Potential project scopes:
  • Extract, analyze, and interpret data from SAP tables and reports to support Business Compliance initiatives.
  • Validate dashboard and reporting data by reconciling results against SAP source data.
  • Utilize Databricks Genie Rooms to query data, refine prompting techniques, and validate results against source system data.
  • Document data sources, validation procedures, and reporting logic to support knowledge sharing and process improvements.

Requirements

• Preferred majors: Candidates pursuing college undergraduate degrees in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or related fields.

Skills

Required technical skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and data preparation techniques.
• Basic understanding of data querying and data visualization concepts.
• Familiarity with generative AI tools and prompting concepts (preferred).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to document processes, findings, and business requirements.
• Interest in business intelligence, reporting, or data analytics.

Preferred knowledge, skills, abilities, and other characteristics:

• Familiarity with enterprise data systems, reporting tools, or analytics platforms.
• Exposure to data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
• Understanding of data querying concepts and basic business intelligence principles.
• Experience with or interest in leveraging generative AI tools to support business processes and analysis.
