Responsibilities

  • Interpret and process Business Banking loan applications using the NextGen digital platform in a highly accurate and timely manner.
  • Utilize credit memo, approval, commitment letter, and credit file information to properly prepare loan closing documentation.
  • Manage personal workload to complete assignments in a timely manner and achieve departmental goals.
  • Prepare commitment letters and loan closing documents, including real estate and non-real estate loans, in accordance with approvals and bank loan policy.
  • Create pre-closing checklists for tracking of approval conditions.
  • Understand and interpret loan application information, credit files, and loan approvals.
  • Identify missing information from the loan package and coordinate with Lenders and Branch Managers to ensure follow up and receipt of all required materials.
  • Assist in maintaining BB Department mailboxes to include resolution or response to inquiries sent.
  • Provide exemplary customer service to both internal and external customers in an effort to achieve departmental goals.
  • Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all job-specific training requirements.
  • Administer Business Banking Loan CreditFiles and record retention.
  • Provide back-up to Specialists as needed.

Qualifications

  • Education/Training: Associates Degree or equivalent in a business field of study (finance, management, economics, accounting) or equivalent related experience with minimum of 2+ years Lending/Credit/Loan Documentation.
  • All applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

  • Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematic skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Strong attention to detail and proven organization skills.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Ability to review and interpret credit approval information.
  • Comprehensive understanding of commercial loan documents, processes, and collateral perfection.
  • Understanding of financial statement composition.
