We are looking for a relationship-driven Business Banker with solid experience in CRE and C&I lending. This dynamic professional will acquire, analyze, and grow high-value client relationships by delivering tailored credit and banking solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Grow, retain, and expand a portfolio of existing Business Banking clients.
  • Source new customers through referrals.
  • Contribute to deposit growth by cross-selling and promoting additional banking products.
  • Seek and obtain quality new business through client and prospect calls, referrals, and cross-selling efforts.
  • Recommend appropriate solutions to clients as a trusted advisor to meet their objectives.
  • Meet assigned revenue goals for region and products.
  • Gain complete knowledge of the business and personal financial needs of assigned customers.
  • Visit client locations regularly.
  • Build knowledge of each assigned client and develop/manage a relationship plan for each client.
  • Ensure client requests are met by handling them directly and/or referring to the appropriate resource.
  • Meet or exceed key performance measures, including but not limited to, portfolio growth, revenue/profitability, retention, and customer satisfaction metrics.
  • Negotiate loan terms, manage portfolio risk, and implement local marketing plans.
  • Act as a trusted financial counselor to ensure long-term profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in banking, finance, or a related field and 1+ year of credit-associated lending or other directly related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
  • Knowledge of lending and credit analysis, preferably in a commercial lending environment.
  • Ability to expand loans, client relationships, and cross-sell bank products.
  • Familiarity with sales, loan processing, and closing processes.
  • Skills and experience in applicant interviewing and perceptive character judgment.
  • Ability to structure loans and monitor credit performance.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of software applications, including word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Experience managing a small commercial portfolio.

Pay

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $100,000 - $145,000 annually, depending on job-related factors such as level of experience.
