About the role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Banker (LO) in Consumer Banking and Lending. This role involves building, maintaining, and growing relationships with business banking clients in branches. Responsibilities include understanding and meeting client needs, providing tailored financial recommendations, and managing a portfolio of clients ranging from $500K to $2MM in annual sales.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of low to moderately complex business clients
• Offer a suite of financial solutions and digital services to meet client needs
• Provide tailored financial recommendations aligned with client objectives while staying compliant
• Proactively source, acquire, and maintain relationships with customers and colleagues
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers and Lending Officers for complex structures
• Assist customers without taking applications or negotiating terms of dwelling secured transactions
• Participate in the SAFE team for complex structures

Requirements

• 2+ years of financial services, sales, or customer service experience
• 2+ years of in-branch business banking experience
• 1+ year of experience managing a dedicated book of business customers across assigned territory
• Proficient with proactively sourcing, acquiring, building, and maintaining relationships with customers and colleagues
• Strong understanding of business acumen and financial services consultation
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of bank lending programs, credit policies, and specialty products
• High motivation with ability to meet team objectives while maintaining individual performance
• Customer service focus with experience handling complex transactions across multiple systems
• Knowledge and understanding of retail compliance controls, risk management, and loss prevention
• Ability to educate and connect customers to technology and share the value of mobile banking options
• Ability to interact with integrity and professionalism with customers and employees
• Experience mentoring and peer-coaching others
• Fluent in Spanish a plus

Qualifications

Required qualifications include meeting applicable financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness, and criminal background standards. Desired qualifications include 2+ years of in-branch business banking experience, 1+ year of experience managing a dedicated book of business customers, and proficiency in Spanish.
