Business Banker III

About the role

The Business Banking Officer serves all business banking needs of commercial entities within our market. This role focuses on relationship banking, including both loans and deposits, while protecting private customer and bank information. The position operates in a professional office environment with occasional remote work permitted to promote work-life balance.

Responsibilities

• New Business Development (35%): Actively solicit new business by calling on prospects, focusing on relationship banking rather than loan participations.
• Portfolio Administration (45%): Meet existing commercial client banking expectations within department objectives for credit quality, profitability, and regulatory requirements. Monitor delinquency, address classified assets, and maintain professional, up-to-date files.
• Account Portfolio (10%): Expand existing client relationships by increasing fee income and service penetration to meet department goals.
• Community Involvement (5%): Represent the bank in the community through events and functions.
• Professional Development (5%): Create and follow a personal growth plan, including continuing education.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of commercial lending experience, ideally in a community bank.
• Excellent communication skills for sales, business development, and customer negotiation.
• Credit analysis experience with complex financial transactions.
• Formal credit training or experience as a credit analyst or collateral examiner is a plus.

BA preferred.

Pay

$124,000.00 - $186,000.00 annually, plus an incentive plan.
