About the Opportunity

The Business Ambulatory Analyst - Associate role supports the organization's outpatient and clinical operations by assisting in the precise definition of systems scope and functional objectives through targeted research and business analysis. Operating within the healthcare IT framework, this position involves evaluating the broader business implications of technological adaptations, analyzing front-line user needs, meticulously documenting requirements, and directly revising or configuring electronic health record (EHR) and ambulatory business applications. This entry-to-junior level role is highly collaborative and contributes directly to the successful implementation, configuration, and continuous optimization of clinical business systems.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the direct business and operational implications of technology integration within the current ambulatory healthcare environment
  • Analyze front-line clinical workflows and administrative user needs to help define overall system scope, project milestones, and functional objectives
  • Document formal operational requirements cleanly within comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and functional specification logs
  • Revise existing application logic, modify custom tables, or develop new system configurations within clinical software environments to optimize workflows
  • Perform rigorous unit testing, baseline regression testing, and quality assurance checks on all new application configurations and software setups prior to deployment

Requirements

  • A solid general understanding of core information systems concepts, data structures, and standard technological terminology
  • Proven ability to perform efficiently, remain organized, and manage evolving priorities in a fast-paced corporate or clinical environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively and communicate clearly within a diverse, multi-disciplinary team of clinicians and technical staff
  • High School diploma or an equivalent relevant professional certification in healthcare delivery, business management, or information systems
  • Preferred Qualifications: Practical, hands-on experience working within healthcare operations, clinical research, outpatient registration, or medical teaching facility settings
  • Associate degree or equivalent specialized professional certification in Healthcare Information Technology (HIT), Business Administration, or Management Information Systems (MIS)
  • Foundational exposure to ambulatory electronic medical record systems or medical billing applications
