Business Analyst (Wealth Management)
About the role
In this role, you’ll be on the front lines helping our clients plan, create, and deliver digital experiences. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you’ll act as a liaison between Strategists, Designers, End Users, Technologists, and Quality Assurance Analysts to gather, analyze, define, and document functional and/or technical requirements for technology projects supporting both internal and external clients.
Responsibilities
- Work across a spectrum of large- and small-scale digital projects including: websites, applications, digital products and services, front and back-end systems, and software.
- Guide technology design, development, and maintenance activities to help clients meet their business requirements and end-user needs.
- Define digital experiences that deliver exceptional user experience and align with the client’s strategic objectives and vision.
- Balance user needs with client business goals, market viability, and technical feasibility.
- Articulate business decisions and trade-offs to internal and external stakeholders.
- Assess and establish return on investment associated with recommendations.
- Receive and facilitate client feedback; advocate for business decisions when appropriate.
- Collaborate closely with Strategists, Designers, and Technologists to define and generate solutions that meet requirements.
- Collaborate with clients and data strategy teams to establish measurable requirements and trackable KPIs.
- Collect, understand, and create requirements documents, data, and process documents (flows, diagrams, and maps in tools like Miro or Visio).
- Lead Use Case workshops, Business Modeling, and Design walkthroughs to generate and gather requirements collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Gather and analyze complex functional and non-functional business rules and technical specifications; identify impacts to the solution.
- Translate requirements into detailed User Stories, Use Case documents, Backlogs (in Jira or similar), and high-level requirements for hand-off and collaborative backlog management with technical teams and subject matter experts.
- Carry out planning sessions with agile and scrum teams, product and project managers to establish priorities and delivery schedules.
- Participate in (and at times lead) scrum ceremonies (stand-ups, backlog grooming, and demos) to collaboratively discuss and validate assumptions and decisions.
- Write test cases to ensure solutions meet quality standards; assist in the testing of applications.
- Participate in production support analysis by identifying root causes of problems, defects, and their impacts on the solution; present improved solutions to the development team.
- Participate in the preparation of documents such as case studies and requests for proposals.
- Contribute to process improvement by identifying standards and guidelines to enhance the quality of deliverables.
Requirements
- 5-8+ years of professional experience in a Business Analyst role within a consulting, agency, or enterprise environment, with experience leading requirements gathering and analysis efforts across complex digital and technology initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proficient working with Waterfall, Lean, and SAFe Agile methodologies, with a solid background in the IT industry, especially creating web applications on frameworks such as Microsoft .NET and Java.
- Experience supporting Wealth Management, Private Banking, Asset Management, or Financial Services organizations, with a strong understanding of investment products, advisor workflows, client onboarding, account management, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience eliciting, documenting, and validating business requirements related to compliance, suitability, investment restrictions, client restrictions, trading restrictions, regulatory controls, and policy-driven business rules within Wealth Management environments.
- Knowledge of data models, Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), integration considerations/tradeoffs, edge cases, configurability requirements, and complex search.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills working with complex business rules.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with experience communicating complex and abstract ideas and concepts.
- Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and meet multiple deadlines across a variety of projects.
- Reactivity and adaptability to a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Experience collaborating with Legal, Risk, Compliance, Operations, and Technology teams to ensure solutions align with regulatory standards, governance requirements, and organizational controls.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $155.00 - $155.00 per hour. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on factors such as qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, and internal equity.
