Business Analyst (Remote)

This position will be a fully remote role within the United States.

About the role

GovCIO is hiring a Business Analyst to connect business requirements with technical implementers and satisfy client needs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with business and technology teams to ascertain system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, and system techniques and controls.
• Provides technical and functional expertise in identifying, evaluating, developing, and supporting systems.
• Applies business knowledge and perspective of a particular business area along with IT needs of that customer.
• Analyzes business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems.
• Interfaces between systems architects/programmers and users in a specialized area to ensure IT designs meet end-user needs.
• Documents product and service requirements and develops test procedures to ensure user requests are carried out.
• Interacts with testing requirements to ensure traceability and test coverage.

Requires general-logic knowledge of system capabilities without necessarily the ability to program.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 5–8 years of relevant experience (or commensurate experience).
• Extensive experience in business analysis within a technical environment.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Proficient in business analysis tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working directly with the VA or similar federal agencies.
• Skilled in translating complex technical requirements into functional specifications.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive system and requirements analysis.

Pay

Posted salary range: USD $90,000.00 – USD $95,000.00 per year.
