About the role
The Scientific Business Analyst will support the modernization of Large Molecule (LM) drug discovery workflows.
Responsibilities
- Gather and document business and technical requirements for LM laboratory workflows.
- Lead workflow migration from legacy ELN systems (Benchling) to modern scientific platforms (Aspen, TaPIR, Penguin).
- Partner with wet-lab scientists and software engineering teams to translate scientific needs into development requirements.
- Support change management, user training, and adoption of new laboratory applications.
- Document laboratory processes, data collection workflows, and bioanalytical assay requirements.
- Serve as the onsite subject matter expert to facilitate knowledge transfer and workflow optimization.
Requirements
- Strong background in Large Molecule drug discovery, including Molecular Biology, protein production, and bioanalytical assays.
- Experience with LIMS, ELNs, and laboratory automation systems.
- Prominent ability to gather business requirements and bridge communication between scientific and technical teams.
- Experience leading workflow or system migrations in a laboratory environment.
- Strong change management and stakeholder engagement skills.
Qualifications
- Experience migrating workflows from Benchling.
- Familiarity with Aspen, TaPIR, Penguin, or similar scientific workflow platforms.
- Experience defining UI or functional requirements for scientific software applications.
