Business Analyst - Insurance

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a business analyst, analytics analyst or similar role.
• Bachelor's degree in related field of study.
• Strong SQL, reporting, or data analysis literacy.
• Understanding of insurance claims, underwriting and/or financial performance metrics (preferred).
• Experience in the property and casualty insurance industry (preferred); experience in Workers’ Compensation insurance (plus).
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with all levels across the organization.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Job Details

The Business Analyst will work with business and operational leaders to understand challenges and opportunities, articulating the detailed requirements necessary for the delivery of analytics and reporting solutions. This role focuses on improving decision-making, operational efficiency, and performance outcomes through well-defined analytics use cases, metrics, and insights.

This position offers a flexible work arrangement, including a hybrid or home-based option based on residence. Candidates residing in South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, or Wisconsin may apply. Those located in Sioux Falls will follow a 3 days in-office and 2 days remote schedule.
