Business Analyst, Fulfillment
About the Role
The Business Analyst provides daily support activities necessary for the successful execution of all merchandising reset projects within the Merch Services organization. Responsibilities include assisting with purchase orders, goods receipts, resolving vendor invoice issues, financial reporting and analysis, accounting journal entries, and forecasting. The role also supports special projects focused on process improvements and automation, financial close activities, and serves as a liaison between cross-functional groups within Merch Services and other business partners.
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead all phases of a project's life cycle (feasibility, design, implementation, evaluation), including extracting business needs, defining requirements, assessing business impact, and executing projects (20%).
- Serve as a liaison between merchandising and finance by facilitating meetings (10%).
- Mentor other analysts in developing business knowledge and analytical skills (10%).
- Act as a subject matter expert, performing research and analysis within assigned projects (20%).
- Multi-task across 2 to 4 projects simultaneously, recommending process improvements and making final project recommendations (20%).
- Establish and report on metrics of assigned projects to gauge business value.
Requirements
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
- High school diploma or GED required; knowledge and skills typically acquired through completion of a high school education.
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Intermediate/Advanced Excel and Tableau skills.
- Previous experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and a solid understanding of basic financial accounting principles.
- 2+ years of experience in purchasing-related activities, including PO proficiency, project management, and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Travel
Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
Physical Requirements
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunities to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
