About the role

This is a temporary, part-time, non-tenured position for the Professional Development and Lifelong Learning Programs. The Program Lead is responsible for aligning the Business Analysis certificate program with industry skill needs. The program will be a non-credit certificate consisting of 3 courses, each 6 weeks in length with 4-5 hours of asynchronous learning per week and a 60-90 minute weekly Zoom session. The role involves curriculum design, collaboration with industry experts, and advising course developers and instructors.

The initial appointment is for a 4-month design phase at .08 FTE with compensation of $2,050. If approved for development, the appointment may extend to an annual .03 FTE with compensation of $2,520/yr. Additional pay is available for developing and teaching courses, with total course development compensation up to $7,950 for a 3-course certificate and instructional pay of $2,713 per 6-week course section.

Responsibilities

  • Design and Maintain Program Curriculum (65%)
    • Create and update program description, outcomes, and list of required/elective courses
    • Write course descriptions and outcomes aligned with program goals
    • Annually review and revise program-level curriculum and individual courses based on feedback and industry changes
    • Follow course development handbook requirements
  • Advise Course SMEs and Instructors (25%)
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts and instructors to align courses programmatically
    • Participate in course SME and instructor searches
  • Support Enrollment and Marketing Efforts (10%)
    • Assist with workforce development client solutions
    • Collaborate with marketing team on promotional videos and articles

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Four years of work experience related to business analysis
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusive environments serving diverse communities
  • Deep subject matter knowledge
  • Ability to explain concepts effectively and provide constructive feedback
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred:

  • Master's degree with six or more years of related work experience
  • Knowledge of curriculum design and adult learning principles
  • Experience teaching adult learners in live and asynchronous contexts
  • Experience developing or teaching business analysis topics
  • Experience developing/revising adult education programs (credit or noncredit)
  • Consulting or multi-organizational experience in the field

Pay

Compensation for the 4-month design phase is $2,050 (.08 FTE). If extended to an annual appointment, compensation is $2,520/yr (.03 FTE).
