Business Adjunct Instructor "Pool"

About the role

Piedmont Technical College is accepting applications to build an active pool of qualified candidates for Adjunct Faculty (temporary, part-time) positions. Adjunct instructors may teach at the Lex D. Walters Campus and/or at one of the college’s six county centers located in Laurens, Newberry, Edgefield, Saluda, Abbeville, and McCormick. Opportunities may include daytime or evening classes, online instruction, and dual credit courses offered at local high schools. Applications will be reviewed on an as-needed basis as teaching opportunities become available.

Responsibilities

• Teaching a diverse student body in accordance with established syllabi at various locations
• Utilizing instructional technology
• Applying a variety of effective teaching methods
• Planning, managing, and delivering course instruction
• Following all EPA and OSHA regulations that pertain to the program
• Participating in college functions as needed
• Applying teaching practices that support the continuous improvement of both the program and the college
• Serving as professional team members who support the mission and vision of the college while performing duties with the highest level of quality and service

Requirements

• A master's degree in the teaching discipline is required, or a master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline.
