About the role

The Utility Worker/Service Employee is responsible for performing basic vehicle servicing duties. This role requires a customer service-oriented professional with dedication to safety.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the cleanliness of fleet vehicles - interior and exterior
  • Driving, maneuvering, and parking vehicles
  • Fueling buses, replenishing fluids, and logging and recording all fluids
  • Downloading drive cameras & probes, fare boxes
  • Perform light maintenance to shop areas, fueling stations, and related facilities
  • Report maintenance issues to supervisor
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license for a minimum of 3 years
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed
  • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable

Physical Requirements

  • Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions - 100% of the job is performed outside
  • Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day)
  • Frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
  • Push and pull objects up to XX pounds, occasionally throughout the workday
  • Lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance
  • Occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to file or equipment stored at ground level
  • Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job
  • Tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes, and noise

Pay

Compensation package of minimum $15.00 / hour – Maximum $18.75 / hour.
